Meet Our Residents

Ralph was our first resident, and since then has been the designated "ol man" on the property. Ralph's favorite past time is sneaking out of the gate and disappearing for hours to go on nature walks, all the meanwhile not responding to his name being called!

Oreo is bonded with Ralph, which means these two can almost always be seen together. Unfortunately, Oreo has ringbone which can make walking a bit tough sometimes, so he has become the most vocal horse to make sure you always know where he is. It has become a custom that every morning you tell him hi, he will absolutely return the greeting!

Cowboy came to Happy Haven because of some hip displacement difficulties, which resulted into him retiring. Now, Cowboy can often be spotted shaking corn out of a deer feeder, or bucking with excitement when introduced to a new pasture!

​Ms. Rain has come to be known as the "bougie" girl on the property. Although she is full of love, she is also full of attitude! She may be a bit tough to catch, but once she is haltered, she loves trail rides and walks throughout the property!

​Ms. Reba joined Happy Haven after being rescued from a pin. After a recovery period, Ms. Reba has blossomed into one of the healthiest and sweetest horses on the property. She is also known to doze off if you give scratches in the right spot!

​Ms. Foxy is the newest resident to join Happy Haven. She was rescued from a pin and has been on a positive road of recovery. She wants everyone to know that her coat may seem a little rough, but that is just because she is recovering from "rain rot", which is a long recovery process. Ms. Foxy has been welcomed by all residents and loves her forever home!

​Adios joined Happy Haven because he became known as the local escape artist at his former homes. Now with over 30 acres to roam, Adios is the big guy on the block and loves his new home! He can often be seen bucking in excitement alongside Cowboy when introduced to a new pasture!
